Defending GT4 America Sprint X West Pro Am Champion Harry Gottsacker will return to ST Racing for the season opening event at Circuit of the Americas on March 6-8. Harry will be joined in the #28 BMW M4 GT4 by multi-time TC America race winner Nick Wittmer. Gottsacker and Wittmer will join the previously announced pairing of Samantha Tan and Jon Miller in the #38 GPI BMW M4 GT4.
Harry Gottsacker had a successful championship winning campaign in GT4 America in 2019 that resulted in five wins, three second places, and one third place. After dual wins at COTA in 2019, Gottsacker is looking to emulate that success in Sprint X in familiar equipment at his home track.
“I am very glad to be returning to ST Racing in 2020. We had a great season last year that resulted in a championship. It was amazing to see how much we grew together last year to deliver results. This team is like family to me and I’m glad to be back. Nick has been a part of the ST family for a few years and I’m excited to race with him. He is wicked fast,” said Gottsacker.
Nick Wittmer finished a season long battle as vice champion in TC America TCA with five wins. He is looking to find success in his return to GT4 racing in the newly announced GT4 America Silver
category.
“I’m super happy to be back in GT4 America and proud to be back with my old team at ST Racing,” commented Wittmer. “I can’t wait to run in the Silver class with lots of strong competition. Being teamed up with last year’s champion gives me a lot of confidence that we will be fighting for wins. ST Racing will be strong with both the #28 and #38 cars this season.”
Benjamin Distaulo, Team Manager of ST Racing, commented, “We are excited to have Harry and Nick back with ST Racing in 2020. Both have shown what they can do in our machinery and we look forward to great results with them at COTA.”
